What we treat

Volume loss

Cheeks that have flattened, temples that have hollowed, a face that reads as tired or drawn in photos even when you feel fine. Volume loss is the change people notice last and the one that makes the biggest difference when it is handled well, and subtly.

Why it happens

From the mid-30s on, the fat pads that give a face its shape shrink and slide downward, and the bone underneath slowly remodels too. The result is less support in the cheeks and temples and more weight around the jaw. Treating it means restoring structure where it was lost, not adding fullness where it never was. The difference between those two is the difference between rested and done.

What we recommend

Sculptra, for gradual structural rebuilding

A collagen stimulator rather than a gel. Dr. Donlan injects it where the support has thinned and your own tissue rebuilds over three to six months. The result is yours, it lasts around two years, and nobody can tell you had anything done. This is our preferred approach for cheeks and temples.

Hyaluronic acid fillers (Juvederm), for precision

For a specific hollow, a lip, or a jawline that needs definition, filler gives an immediate, controllable result. It is reversible, which is why we use it. Dr. Donlan places every syringe himself and uses less than you expect.

Morpheus8 or EMface, when laxity is part of the picture

Restoring volume into skin that has lost its snap only gets you halfway. Pairing structural volume with tightening is often the plan.

What we would tell you honestly

Overfilled faces come from treating volume loss as a single problem and solving it with one product in one visit. We do not do that. Expect a conservative first session, a check at a few weeks, and a plan that builds. If you want dramatic, we are the wrong practice, and we will say so at the consultation.

Want an honest read on where volume has changed in your face?

Book a consultation. Dr. Donlan will examine your skin, listen to what is bothering you, and recommend a plan. Sometimes that plan is one treatment. Sometimes it is no treatment yet.
