What we treat

Fine lines and wrinkles

There are two kinds, and they need different treatments. Dynamic lines show up when you move your face: forehead lines, the “11s” between the brows, crow’s feet. Static lines are still there when your face is at rest. Most people over 40 have both.

Why it happens

Dynamic lines come from muscles folding the skin the same way thousands of times a day. Static lines are the creases that stay once the skin has lost enough collagen that it no longer springs back. Sun, smoking and genetics decide how fast that happens.

What we recommend

Botox or Dysport, first

For dynamic lines this is the answer, and it is also the best prevention for static ones. We dose so you still look like you. Three to four months per treatment.

Morpheus8 for lines that stay at rest

When the crease is etched in, relaxing the muscle is not enough. Morpheus8 rebuilds collagen under the line over a series of three sessions.

Fractional or CO2 laser for texture and fine crepiness

Resurfacing smooths the fine lines across cheeks, around the mouth and under the eyes that injectables cannot reach. Fractional for a few days of downtime, CO2 for a bigger change and a week off.

Filler, selectively

A deep fold such as the nasolabial line sometimes needs volume, not relaxation. We use it sparingly and only where it will not look like filler.

What we would tell you honestly

Botox will not fix a line that is there when your face is still, and a laser will not stop a line that your muscles keep making. Most people need one of each, and we will tell you which. If you are under 30 with no static lines, you probably need less than you think.

Want to know which kind of lines you have?

Book a consultation. Dr. Donlan will examine your skin, listen to what is bothering you, and recommend a plan. Sometimes that plan is one treatment. Sometimes it is no treatment yet.
